2008's Happy Halloween!

Halloween is here for the Hartles!
Kelsey refused to dress up this year, and went to a party instead. She still ate a ton of candy, and stayed up until late watching movies. Unfortunately, she got the stomach flu the next day, and has been throwing up all day! What a bummer!

Abigael didn't want a costume from the store, but decided she wanted to design her own punk rock outfit. Totally Abigael.

Savannah was a midnight fairy, I wanted to put more glitter and make-up on her, but we ran out of time. She took too long eating dinner! She's still cute!

Samuel and Christian both wanted to be fire fighters with their cousin Isaac, but Isaac didn't make it in time from Wyoming. Second bummer! But, still a really fun night! I think this was Christian's first Halloween, he was really amazed about the whole thing. He doesn't talk a lot about his life before he came to us, but by the way he acted, it was a pretty amazing experience!

After all of the parties at school, and some fun things after school, we went to the Parade of Treats I do every year with Connections--It's like a Trunk or Treat, but inside the school gym. It's warmer in there, and has better lighting. Being in the metropolis of Lapoint, we don't have any well lit parking lots. Yup, it's the sticks! After that, we went to the grandparents, and then up to Raymond and JoAnn Murray's, which has become a little tradition. JoAnn always makes a lot of fun Halloween food for the kids and us, and after all of the junk, they are ready for some real food (even though I make them eat a little dinner before we leave, JoAnn's is always better!) Of course, we ended the night with two little boys crying because they were so tired. But the girls were die hards and stayed up late with me. I never eat a lot of candy, but we all tanked up, and then went into a sugar coma until late the next morning! Yup, it was a great Halloween!
