Hartle Clan Update

Well, here is the update on the kids I promised.  I have included some pictures of each of them to let you know some of the special events that pertain to them individually.

Kelsey--I knew as soon as softball got here, the school year would be over before we knew it, and our little girl would be graduating.  And here she is trying out for softball on Monday.  Bink has a full schedule for the team with about 30 games in their season.  Kelsey also signed her letter of intent to play college softball and is applying for scholarships for what her athletic scholarship doesn't cover.  Kelsey has recently started to learn how to play the guitar which she has enjoyed very much.  She finally gets to put the guitar and ukelele to use that she has received as gifts in years past!

Abigael--Well, softball is here for Abigael too.  While she is a freshman, she will be trying out for the team with Kelsey on Monday.  Abigael also just finished her club volleyball season and they finished with a 3rd, 1st, 5th, and 4th place finish.  They did incredibly well and were able to compete with the toughest teams in the state at the 15 U level.  Abigael is also attending an English competition as a part of her Honors English class this weekend.
Thanks to Kari Morris Photography at www.karimorris.blogspot.com who took Abigael's pictures during Christmas Break.  They turned out beautifully!

Savannah--Savannah's life is full of volleyball right now.  It seems all I have are volleyball pictures.  So one will suffice.  So far they have attended two tournaments and have placed first in both.  I need to take some pictures of Savannah playing the violin and the piano as well.  She will be doing a violin solo in the solo ensemble performances coming up soon.  Savannah took a fiddle class this year as well, and can play several instruments besides the violin and piano.  I have never seen a child have such an ear for music.  It will be fun to see where she goes with this.

Samuel--Here are some pictures of Samuel receiving his Bear Scout Award.  In a couple of days, he will turn 10 and move into the Weeblos program.  He has been a very successful scout!  Samuel has also had some fun playing basketball with a school program, but can't wait to start baseball soon.  He will be playing with the Strike this year and gets to officially travel with a traveling team.  His two favorite sports are football and baseball.  Samuel is also going to participate in his class spelling bee on Friday.  More info to come on that!

Christian--I am embarrassed that I don't have any pictures of Christian wrestling.  If anyone has some, please send me one.  Because we have had kids different places on the same weekend, Dad has been in charge of taking pictures.  Well, he recorded everything, but has not taken any pictures!  UGH!  Christian has just recently finished wrestling and had a great first year placing with a 5th and two 3rds.  He went to Super State and ended up getting the stomach flu.  He didn't do so well because he said he felt like throwing up on the mat the whole time!  But I expect great things from Christian in wrestling.  He has a knack for it.  He is also an excellent reader and has made great strides in school this year.  He is the top of his class in reading and math.  We are proud of him!
