Merry Christmas 2013

It was such a fun Christmas Eve tonight as we started a new tradition! We put all of the countries of our ethnicity and countries that our family has been on missions to, and pulled one out of a hat. It was Canada where Gpa Jay served his mission! Jay said they eat a lot like we do, but say AYE a lot! We planned a full meal of Canadian dishes that we searched out online:
Pineapple Meatballs as the appetizer
Pear and Pomegranate Salad
Roasted Asparagus
Roasted Potatoes
Salmon and Filet Mignon marinated in Strawberry Balsamic Vinegarette
Sour Dough Rolls
Strawberry Roses filled with a special cream cheese mixture.
It was so good! Next year we are going to add a game. This was a great new tradition! Merry Christmas! Love, the Hartles

Opening their sibling gifts.  They draw one name and buy a gift for that person.  They are so thoughtful about it.  It was a hit for everyone!

Christmas morning, getting ready to see what Santa brings!  We make them all come out at once, so they all have to be ready!

Elder Velasco, from Hawaii and lover of spam, which is on the menu at McDonalds in Hawaii!
Elder Ball, so creative!  Now he has lots of ways to create with play-doh and modeling clay.
Katie and Maddox all tuckered out!
Another one of Samuel's mustaches he got in his stocking!
Merry Christmas everyone!
